Title One Services:
Springfield Local Schools continues to provide Title One services this school year.  This program which is sponsored through grant funds made available by the Federal Government is designed to provide reading and math intervention services to students who are performing below grade level standards.  Each of our schools has at least two Title staff members to help deliver intervention.  Reading assessments are used to screen all of our students.   Please feel free to contact the specific school attended by your student  if you have questions regarding Title One services.

The Springfield Local School District is seeking input from parents on the use of Title I and Special Education Services provided via the use of federal funds. Please contact Paulette Baz, director of federal programs if you are interested in providing input.

Child Find
Federal and State laws require school districts to evaluate children who have suspected disabilities. These laws affect all school-aged children educated within the Springfield school district boundary and all preschool children who live within the Springfield school district. Springfield Local School District is looking for children not currently being served by the district for delays or difficulties in:

·  Speech and language
·  Motor skills
·  Socio-emotional behavior
·  Cognitive development
·  Adaptive/self-help skills

If you have concerns about your child’s ability or skills, and suspect there may be a disability, please contact your child’s teacher, principal, or in the case of a preschool child, the Springfield Office of Federal Programs. For more information, please contact Paulette Baz.
